Print Geek Original

Order Desk can import orders from your shopping cart(s), sync in your print details and then automatically send them on to Print Geek Original for fulfillment. When orders are shipped, the tracking details will be sent back to Order Desk automatically.

Setup

To connect to Print Geek Original, click on the Manage Integrations link under the Integrations menu in the left sidebar, and under the Print on Demand tab find and enable Print Geek Original.

Alternatively, search for Print Geek Original from the available integration search.

To connect to Order Desk, choose either the Production or Staging environment and enter your Print Geek Original API Key, then click to connect.

Please note that Order Desk isn’t able to help find or reset your credentials, as they can only be provided by Print Geek Original.

Integration Settings

Once connected, you'll have some shipment and integration settings to adjust per your preferences.

Environment

Identifies your current environment, as selected on the connection screen (Production or Staging).

After Import, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after they are successfully sent to Print Geek Original.

You can use one of the default folders already in your store or create your own. Read the Working with Folders guide for more information.

After Shipment, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after Print Geek Original sends shipment details back to Order Desk.

Default Mail Class

Choose the shipping class you want Print Geek Original to use for your orders.

If you need to apply specific methods for certain orders, match your method names to the names Print Geek Original uses in the Shipping Class Match section below.

Default X Offset

Set the default print location for your products on the X axis.

Default Y Offset

Set the default print location for your products on the Y axis.

Shipping Class Match

If the shipping methods you set up in your shopping cart(s) don't match the shipping method names Print Geek Original uses, they won't know what methods you intend for them to use. When this happens, the default mail class applied above will be used instead for all of your orders.

To tell Print Geek Original what methods you want them to use, you will need to match your method names to theirs. This can be done in the shipping class match section. For detailed instructions on setting this up, please read through the shipping class match guide.

Custom Details for Print Geek Original

Initially, getting your orders ready to send to Print Geek Original is going to take some time before everything is in place for it to happen automatically. Preparing Item Details

The following fields can be set as variations or item metadata for each item in an order:

print_sku Required. Print Geek Original product ID.
print_url_x URL of the artwork file. Up to 2 (e.g. print_url_1, print_url_2)
print_preview_x Use to send a preview of artwork. Up to 2 (e.g. print_preview_1, print_preview_2).
print_location_x Front or back. Up to 2 (e.g. print_location_1, print_location_2)
x_offset_x Use this field to set the location of your printed image on the X axis. Up to 2 (e.g. x_offset_1, x_offset_2). If no value is entered the default in your integration settings will be used.
y_offset_x Use this field to set the location of your printed image on the Y axis. Up to 2 (e.g. y_offset_1, y_offset_2). If no value is entered the default in your integration settings will be used.
size Item size.
color Item color.
text_product_id Sets the contextual product information (e.g. a neck label identifier).
UPC Use to set a UPC on your items.

Preparing Order Details

The following fields can be set as checkout data or order metadata to change what gets sent to Print Geek Original:

currency Set the currency for your order here. If no value is present, CAD is the default.
