IN THIS GUIDE
Order Desk can connect to your Gumroad account and download your orders.
This guide explains how to set up and use the Gumroad integration in Order Desk.
To connect to the Gumroad integration, click on Manage Integrations under the Integrations menu in the left sidebar. Under the Shopping Carts tab, find and enable Gumroad.
Alternatively, search for Gumroad from the available integration search.
Click the Connect to Gumroad button to sign in and authorize Order Desk to connect to your Gumroad account.
Once connected, set your Gumroad preferences in the integration settings.
Enable this setting for orders to automatically be downloaded into Order Desk as they are placed. Disable this setting to pause order importing.
Please note that downloading historical orders from Gumroad is not possible. Only orders placed moving forward will be imported into Order Desk.
The Connection ID is confirmation that Gumroad is currently sending orders to Order Desk account. This is the ID of the sales ping that comes from Gumroad.
Folder for New Orders
Select the folder where newly imported orders from Gumroad should be placed.
For more information, see the Working with Folders guide.
If you need to, you can add a prefix of your choice that will be added to all orders downloaded from Gumroad.
Order Import Details
- If shipping information is included with the order, it will be imported.
- Offer Code and License Key details will be added to the checkout data if applicable. Please see the How to Work with Checkout Data guide for more info about checkout data in Order Desk.
- Any custom fields will also be added to the checkout data.
- If the order is a pre-authorization, the order payment status will be set to Authorized.
- Any product variants will be a set as product variations.
Product ID and Fulfillment
The internal Gumroad product ID will be used as the product code/SKU for your items when they come into Order Desk.
If you need to change these SKUs before sending your orders for fulfillment, your best option will be to use the product code match feature available in most fulfillment integrations. For more information about how this works, please read the How to Use Product Code Match, Skip and Replace guide.
Please note that because the Gumroad product code will have == at the end, this can look confusing when setting up a product code match, which uses an = to convert one code to another. Make sure there is a space after the last = in the Gumroad code before the = in the product code match to differentiate between the Gumroad code and the = signifying the match, for instance:
123456789== = YourSKU
