How to Match Shopify to Amazon MCF SKUs

When submitting orders from Shopify to Amazon MCF, be sure that your SKUs from Shopify match the SKUs MCF has for your items. If they don't match, you can map them to each other in Order Desk in one of two ways. You can match the codes to each other in your Amazon MCF settings or you can use a metadata field called code_replace in your inventory items.

Product Code Match

To match product codes from Shopify to Amazon MCF, navigate to your MCF settings by clicking on Amazon MCF under Integrations in the left sidebar.

Scroll down to the Product Code Match box. You can match the SKUs here, where the first SKU is your Shopify SKU and the second is your MCF SKU.

In this example, RX-78-2 is the SKU from Shopify, while RGM-79 is the SKU that MCF is expecting:

Set one match per line.

Product Bundles

If you have bundled products in Shopify, use Product Code Match to match the SKU of the bundle to the SKUs MCF has for each item in the bundle.

This works the same as matching one SKU to another, but instead add multiple SKUs:

You can even add the same SKU more than once:

Like with product code match for single items, bundles will not be replaced with the new SKUs in Order Desk, but the order will be sent to the fulfillment service with the new SKUs.

Code Replace

If you want to import your inventory from Shopify to Order Desk, you can go into each inventory item and add a metadata field called code_replace where the value is your MCF SKU for that item:

Go into your Store Settings (under the Settings menu in the left sidebar):

Underneath the Inventory Settings section, enable Add Inventory Details to Order Items:

As orders come into Order Desk, the items in the orders will sync with your inventory items already stored here, and any Shopify SKU that matches an item with the code_replace field in it will be replaced by the SKU set in the metadata.

For more details, including how to set up code replace bundles, see the Code Replace guide.
