Using Order Desk Without an Integration
If you're interested in using Order Desk but we don't offer an integration with the service you had in mind, it may still be possible to work with them through our import and export tools. This allows you to enjoy all the features Order Desk has to offer, even when we don't have a built-in integration for the service you want to connect with.
IN THIS GUIDE
Importing Orders
Order Desk can import your orders if they're saved into a file as one of the following formats:
.csv
.xlsx
.txt
Using the Import Data option in the Order Desk app, you can create a template that will read the files and import all the order details successfully. When you create the template, it's important to make sure you consistently use the same structure for your imports, such as keeping all the columns the same (always use the same column names, always keep your columns in the same order, etc.).
For more details on importing a spreadsheet, check out our How to Import a Spreadsheet guide.
Exporting Orders
Similar to the process of setting up your imports, you can also create a template to export your order details when you want to send them somewhere that Order Desk isn't integrated with. You have the option to save the export as a file so you can manually upload your orders elsewhere, automatically send the export via email, or send the exports vis FTP. The following file formats are supported at this time:
.csv
.xlsx
.txt
For more information on setting up your exports, check out our How to Build Export Templates guide.
Requesting an Integration
If there's a particular integration that you would like to see added to Order Desk in the future, you can submit a request to our team for review. All we ask is that you collect some info about the service you'd like to see an integration for (such as the API details), and understand that while we do strive to make as many integrations available as possible, due to a variety of factors it's not possible to fulfill every request we receive.
