## December 2020

This is the first year in history that’s actually been **40 months long**, but it’s finally the holiday season! If you’re reading this, you probably found a couple spare minutes between marketing your holiday specials, fulfilling a huge influx of orders and wishing you picked a profession that didn’t have a Q4 rush. We’re thankful that we can borrow a few valuable minutes from your day and that you stuck with us through such a wild year!

### Important Info Regarding Missing Shopify Orders

Before we roll into our regularly scheduled updates, let’s look at a change to our most popular integration, Shopify, and how it might impact you.

From mid-October through mid-November, we got a lot of reports about missing orders from Shopify. We discovered that these orders were getting lost behind a slight time discrepancy caused by a lag on Shopify’s internal reporting tools. After trial and error, several temporary workarounds and conversations with Shopify, our developers decided to re-haul the way we import from Shopify to completely bypass the lag from their system so we don’t have to wait on a fix from them.

While this issue didn’t hit all Shopify stores, it’s impossible to know who was affected, so **now would be a good time to cross check your Shopify orders** with what’s been imported into Order Desk and manually import orders that were missed.

We made the manual import in the Shopify integration a lot easier to use, so if you have missing orders, set the date and timestamp back to just before the earliest missing order was placed, and you’ll be able to search forward as far as you need to find them:

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/s9v98ZG5QKupurKVuWqvAz)

If you are having any trouble with this, let our team know the order numbers that are missing (and the dates they were placed) so we can try to find them for you.

### Feature Highlight

Save some time and let Order Desk create your ShipStation labels with the rule action **Create Shipping Label With ShipStation**. The label URL will be added as checkout data, and the shipment details will be applied to the order.

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/nzwd1MviiioffG8VLEVRda/email)

### App Updates

* If you send emails from Order Desk by selecting the order(s) from a folder and clicking the email icon, these will now be queued up to send within a few seconds. Previously, they were being sent instantly, which was causing a bottleneck, so this will help your emails go out more quickly and improve the overall app performance. Emails sent directly from an order page will still be sent instantly.
* Did you know there is a 2k character limit on order metadata? If you hit that limit, all of your metadata will be erased and any new info will be added to a blank slate. You can imagine this isn’t so great, especially if you use that info in your rules or need it to communicate order information between services! Because of this, we set up notifications that our team will receive if your store is about to hit the limit. We will review the notifications and let you know so you can find a way to fix it before your data is lost. However, knowing this info up front can save you trouble later. Make sure you aren’t adding too much extra info to your orders!
* Use quotes in **Advanced Search** to find an exact match. This works for the Item Name, Item Variation and Order Notes fields:

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/wJrykxsNgpSuUArp2tDchS)

* You can search the last 4 digits of a credit card from **Advanced Search**. Look for **Last Four CC Digits** from the dropdown.

### Integration Updates

**Shopping Carts**

* In addition to the new Shopify import process, you’ll see a couple other updates. First, **Download Unfulfilled** is a new Fulfillment Status option. Second, notice the **Order Import Delay** in the settings. Set a delay on your imports if your orders are often updated within a few minutes after they’re placed. This will ensure the updated version of the order is imported, as long as it is updated within the delay time period:

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/x5VbynLCTJ6xow1cXKV3bA)

* Did you see the **Use New API Version** setting in the WooCommerce integration? Enable that for all the perks of the updated WooCommerce API, including multiple shipping addresses on a single order. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/127-woocommerce#use-new-api-version).
* BrightStores got an **Inventory Location Filter** so you can tell Order Desk which items to bring in with your orders. See how that works in the [BrightStores guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/368-brightstores#inventory-location-filter).
* If you’d like to send tracking back to Dsco Supplier on an event of your choosing, you can use the rule action **Send Shipments to Dsco Supplier**. Make sure to disable **Sync Tracking Numbers** from the integration settings for this to work.
* The GST tax on Weebly orders will no longer be included as an additional tax in Order Desk.
* Magneto 2 can [Download Base Prices](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/186-magento-2#advanced). Choose to import the base price of items, discounts or shipping costs instead of actual prices.

\*\* Fulfillment\*\*

* ShipBob has a new API, so we rebuilt our integration to support it. Since their old API is going away soon, you’ll need to reconnect your integration to avoid interruptions. You can do this by clicking **disconnect** at the bottom of the ShipBob integration settings and following the prompts to reenable it again. By the way, in addition to a few other changes, you may notice that the shipping options have all been removed from the integration. This is because you can now set up your shipping preferences directly in ShipBob.
* Fulfillrite accepts **ShippingAccount** numbers on individual orders. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/109-fulfillrite#order-level-details).
* **Order in Delivery Process** is a newly added status that Order Desk can pull in with 3BM IT shipments. This joins Completed, Order Delivered and Order Received by Carrier.
* MyWarehouse will default to DPDUK instead of DPD as the carrier code for the proper tracking URLs to be created.
* VeraCore will accept **ShippingAccountZip** and **ShippingAccountCountry** in addition to your **ShippingAccount** number when set as order metadata or checkout data. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/12-veracore#order-level).
* When items in an order are out of stock or the address is invalid, Wemalo will accept the order but block it. Look for two new Wemalo rule events to automate what you want Order Desk to do when this happens: **Order Blocked at Wemalo** and **Order Unblocked at Wemalo**.

\*\* Print on Demand\*\*

* Air Waves preview image URLs weren’t uploading quite right, so we fixed this.
* The Printful API endpoints moved to a new location. We updated our side as well so your connection still works.
* Offer faster fulfillment with the **Next Day** shipping option in White Label MFG. You’ll find it in the **Default Mail Class** and in the **Shipping Class Match**. If you’re unsure how Shipping Class Match works (and why it saves you money), [here’s where you can learn more](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/235-shipping-class-match).
* This year was consistently inconsistent, so we took that as a challenge. Jondo Global orders will use the tracking URLs from Jondo instead of the ones that Order Desk generates. Take that, 2020!

\*\* Shipping\*\*

* On EasyPost shipments for non-US orders where the Signature Required field should be empty, add **EasyPostSignature** as a checkout data field with the value set to **DEFAULT**. No idea what this means? Don’t worry, it hurt our brains too. It’s easier to think of it this way: if you get the error “shipment.options.delivery\_confirmation: delivery\_confirmation is not supported” when trying to create an EasyPost label (for example, for FedEx CrossBorder shipments), then you’ll want to set up this checkout data field on the order to create the label.

\*\* Productivity\*\*

* Pulling files in from Zakeke *and* splitting orders? No worries; the files will show up with the right items in all split orders.

## November 2020

### What’s New at Order Desk? November 2020

The fatigue has been real in 2020, but we’ve finally made it to November in a year that feels like it won’t end. With the busy season upon us, my team and I are more focused than ever on keeping things running smoothly for you while you ramp up for the holidays. We get a few questions every year wondering if we’ll be able to handle the influx of orders, especially on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Don’t worry; we plan for this event every year, and we’re ready if you are!

#### Shopping Carts:

**Amazon Marketplace** **–** All Amazon orders have been updated to show whether a customer address is a residential or commercial address. You’ll see this info in the order’s metadata under **amazon\_address\_type**.

**Shopify –**

* Improved accuracy when converting grams to pounds.
* We added the option to choose **Paid and Partially Paid** as a financial status to import, instead of only one or the other.

**SamCart** **–** Use the new rule event called **SamCart Order Completed** instead of the Order is Imported event. Due to the way SamCart orders are imported an item at a time, this lets you take action on SamCart orders after all the items have been imported for a single order. [Read more in our guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/373-samcart#settings).

**CommerceHub –** Made general improvements for more accurate shipment information being sent from Order Desk to CommerceHub.

**XoroOne –** The **Wave Number** will take the place of an order’s ID number to simplify communication with XoroOne.

**Magento 2 –**

* Choose from a new option to specify that you’re running your Magneto 2 integration with /pub defined as the document root. [Check out our guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/186-magento-2#advanced) for information on this setting.
* New setting **Inventory Source Code** lets you target specific inventory sources and only update items tied to the source you enter in this field. This is especially helpful if you manage inventory across multiple locations and want to only update stock amounts for specific sources.

#### Shipping:

**ShipStation –** Choose to [allow or omit customer email address information](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/293-shipstation-new#setup) to be submitted with your ShipStation orders.

**EasyPost** **–** Three EasyPost updates this round:

* The shipment manager got a face lift, allowing for a more streamlined scan-form creation process.
* Refunded orders will no longer be displayed on the shipment page.
* We were seeing a few situations where unknown characters in order details were causing problems with DHL Global Mail being able to create shipments. From now on, we will auto-replace characters like that so the shipments can be created.

#### Fulfillment:

**Shipedge –** Made improvements for shipment notifications to be delivered back to Order Desk more successfully. Also upgraded to Shipedge v2.

**MyWarehouse** **–** Download stock counts from MyWarehouse with [the new **Sync Inventory** setting](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/722-mywarehouse-integration#inventory). You can also choose what time frame you want to run that check by choosing a **Sync Update Interval**.

**Wemalo** **–** The Rule Builder got a new action: **Change Priority on Wemalo Orders**. Choose between 0 as the highest priority through 5 as the lowest priority.

#### Print on Demand:

**Colorway on Demand –** Send a custom Shipping Label along with your orders by setting **ShippingLabel** as order metadata or checkout data with your orders. [Details here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/602-colorway-on-demand-integration#submit).

**Just Vision It –**

* Allow for up to 35 characters on customer address lines 1 and 2.
* We’ve also updated some of [Just Vision It’s integration settings](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/450-just-vision-it-integration#settings) so you can choose how often you’d like to run shipment checks.

**PulseID** **–** We fixed an issue where PulseID was being incorrectly added to orders as fulfillment information. The fix allows for orders that have previously been sent for fulfillment to another integration to keep their original fulfillment info when they’re submitted to PulseID.

**BDLinx –** We added the ability to overwrite the default order number being sent with the order by adding order metadata for **AlternateOrderID**. Check out [our guide on BDLinx](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/447-bdlinx-integration#order-details) for more info.

**Qualtry –** Made some improvements to help fix timeouts in a *timely* manner.

**OPT on Demand** – Updated to include a [Shipping Class Match](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/235-shipping-class-match) section!

**White Label –** 2 Day Shipping has been added as a shipping option.

#### Productivity:

**Zakeke –** You can save your print files in a zip format by enabling the **Save Zip Files when Possible** setting in your Zakeke integration. See [our guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/566-zakeke-integration#settings) for more details on how to set this up.

## October 2020

We hope after [last month’s pre-holiday tips](https://www.orderdesk.com/release-notes/september-2020/) you’re getting your Order Desk store ready for a flawless holiday season. With such a drastic change to the scope of ecommerce this year, this might be your first holiday season with a fully online presence, and being prepared is key to your success! With Black Friday only weeks away, now is the time to make any changes you need and do plenty of tests to make sure your workflow is working as expected.

In the meantime, we have several in-app and integration updates to share with you in this spookiest of months.

### New at Order Desk:

* Use the new rule action **Set Handling Total** to apply the handling fee on orders. See our [rules reference guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/551-rules-reference#actions-order) for a list of all non-integration specific rules.
* If you use Hermes as your carrier, we updated the tracking link to use their new URL format.
* Did you know you can export your inventory from Order Desk? Go to your Inventory Items page, scroll to the bottom and you’ll see an **Export Inventory Items** button. Click this and a CSV file of your inventory will be downloaded to your computer. This has always been there, but this month it got some much needed improvements and the export will run dramatically faster than it used to.

### Integration Updates:

**Shopping Carts:**

* If you need customs information (namely, the country of origin and harmonized system code) on your items to come in with your **Shopify** orders reach out to Order Desk support and we will set up your store to do this.
* The **WooCommerce** integration was updated to bring in the weights on your items.
* The **Magento 2** integration was updated to import gift messages if they are on the order.
* If you sync your inventory counts to **Newegg**, these will be reported at 5000 items per run so more item updates can make it through reliably.
* The **XoroONE** integration was updated so the sales order number will be combined with the wave ID to build the source ID in Order Desk. This will make it possible for subsequent items/shipments to be added to the same sales order number.
* The **ShirtPlatform** integration will bring in the size and color variations with your items.

**Print on Demand**:

* **Gearment** items can have the **side** to be printed on set on them, details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/654-gearment-integration#submit). Also, the item name and code/SKU will be sent to Gearment so it is easier to know which items are which on their side.
* **Clothes2order** is able to send notifications about canceled orders back into Order Desk. Check out your [Clothes2order integration settings](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/550-clothes2order-integration#settings) to tell Order Desk what folder to move canceled orders into. You can also [set up a rule](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/396-how-to-work-with-rules) on the event Order Canceled at Clothes2order to tell Order Desk what you want it to do when an order is canceled, for instance, sending yourself an email notification.
* When sending orders to **Prima Printing**, they’ll go through asynchronously so we can listen for updates from them more reliably. This should resolve the timeout issues we have been having with sending orders to them.
* Orders you have sent to **BDLinx** can be canceled either with a rule using the **Cancel Order at BDLinx** action or by clicking the **Cancel Order at BDLinx** button which will appear on the order details page for any order already sent to them.
* The **MWW on Demand** integration was updated to include UPS Mail Innovations as shipping options. If you’d like to use these, set up your [shipping class matches](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/235-shipping-class-match).

**Fulfillment:**

* You can send extra information to **VeraCore** about items by setting **comments** as item metadata or variations. [Details here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/12-veracore#item-level).
* The **Deposco** integration has several new order level fields that you can use to send more customized information to Deposco on individual orders. Find all the new fields in our [Deposco guide here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/495-deposco-integration#custom-details).
* The **ShipHero** integration got two updates this month. First, you can set your customer account ID when connecting or in the integration settings. Second, you can send tags through to ShipHero by adding them as checkout data or order metadata under the **tags** field name. Details on both updates can be found in [our ShipHero guide here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/583-shiphero-order-export-integration).
* **WSA Distributing** has been added as the newest VeraCore provider.
* **3PL Central** accepts the ShippingAccountZip field as checkout data when sending custom shipping details on a per-order basis. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/8-3pl-central#shipping).

**CRMs**:

* Send customer tags to **MailChimp** by setting **mailchimp\_customer\_tags** on the order as checkout data or order metadata. Multiple tags can be sent if separated by commas. [Details here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/114-mailchimp#order-level-details).

**Shipping:**

* Orders sent to **ShipStation** will not send anything in the weight field if there is no weight to send.
* If you need to add more shipments to your **EasyPost** manifest than show up on the first page, you can now do this by clicking the **Select More From Next Page** button from the **EasyPost** Shipments page:

## September 2020

### What’s New at Order Desk?

As 2020 starts a slow wind down, we know your business may be ramping up for the busiest time of the year – the holidays!

To prepare your Order Desk store for a smooth and lucrative holiday season, we’d like to share a few recommendations based on lessons we’ve learned from previous years.

***

**Holiday Tip #1** – If you’re thinking about adding a new fulfillment or Print on Demand service, make sure to get that process going now. Many of them have holiday cut off dates where they won’t sign up new clients as the holidays approach. Check in with them, and don’t miss those deadlines.

**Holiday Tip #2** – On the same topic, if you’re thinking about switching to a new integration, connect it now! Most integrations require manual testing and working through the set up to run the way you need them to. Start this testing process early by connecting any integrations you’re adding to your repertoire.

**Holiday Tip #3** – Your inventory is everything. If you’re a Print on Demand store, this may sound familiar. If you are preparing for new designs, products or promotions for a holiday rush, be sure to do a full inventory and automation setup so your products are ready to be purchased before you even start selling them.

***

\*\* Don’t forget that we get as busy as you do during the holidays\*\*, so help us help you by asking your questions early, especially if you’re planning on making big changes to what you do or how you use Order Desk this holiday season.

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/rG3iGGspr7utQqrD4CiKdJ/email)

* A new action has been added to our [Rule Builder](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/396-how-to-work-with-rules): **Export Order With Template**. This lets you export a single order from your store with any of your Export Templates applied.
* If you’ve set up a [code replace for your bundled items](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/193-product-code#crbundle), Order Desk will check for multiples of the same item and calculate your bundle quantities accordingly. It will also take minimum and maximum limits that were set into account.
* If you’d like your store admins to receive notification emails whenever any data gets imported into your Order Desk store via an email import, let us know and we’ll enable this on your store.
* If you add [JoeyCo](https://www.joeyco.com/) as a carrier code for your shipments, Order Desk will automatically create a tracking link.
* Use Order Desk’s **search feature** to include ranges of orders with both numbers and letters. Before you could only search for a range of orders if they were fully numeric like “Orders 1001-2000”, but with this update you could search for orders like “F101-F109” or other alphanumeric combinations.

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/gPhQ5dvc4odxQwwmTAgm81/email)

**Shopping Carts:**

* **WooCommerce** – If **Download Order Metadata as Checkout Data** is enabled in your WooCommerce integration, metadata fields that *start* with an underscore, such as “\_key”, can be included. If you’d like this added to your store, respond to this email and we’ll enable it for you.
* **Amazon Marketplace** – Only want to bring in AFN orders and skip MFN? Let us know and we’ll enable this on your store.
* **Ecwid** – The Ecwid integration got an improvement that tells Order Desk when a pending order in Ecwid is updated to approved. At that point, Order Desk will import the order immediately rather than waiting for the next import appointment.
* **InkSoft** – When InkSoft orders import into Order Desk, they’ll include the InkSoft store name in the order metadata.

**Print on Demand:**

* **DecoPlate** – We fixed a bug that was causing errors with the DecoPlate integration’s Product Code Matching.
* **Casestry** – We improved the connection with Casestry to make sure tracking information is moving smoothly from Casestry to Order Desk.
* **PrintDropper** – Order Desk will run more shipment checks for those orders that take a little longer to ship.
* **OneFlow** has been rebranded as **HP Site Flow**. If you’re looking for any OneFlow information, you’ll find it under [HP Site Flow](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/217-hp-site-flow-integration) instead.

**Fulfillment:**

* **VeraCore** – Send a [Reference Number with your orders](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/12-veracore#notes) by adding it to your order metadata or checkout data.
* **Amazon FBA** – We’ve improved Amazon FBA communication to be more responsive when downloading shipments that are delayed.
* **SanMar** – Use [Group Batching](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/692-sanmar-integration#groupbatch) to choose one folder to be sent in full to SanMar once a day.
* **Logiwa** – Add an [Invoice Number](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/625-logiwa-integration#custom) as a detail for any of your orders.
* **3PL Central** – Include [Lot Numbers or Serial Number](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/8-3pl-central#item) information for individual items.
* **ShipHero** – We switched over to ShipHero’s new API for better performance.

**Shipping:**

* **EasyPost** – Form links generated by EasyPost can be saved as checkout data. Let us know if you’d like to enable this on your store so we can send you a Feature Tag.

**Productivity:**

* **Zapier** – [Order shipment information](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/85-zapier-integration#using-zapier-with-order-desk) can be sent from Zapier into Order Desk.
* **Amazon Web Services** – Added support for sending to SQS First In, First Out queues.

Print on Demand: [Air Waves](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/696-air-waves) | [Pronto POD](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/712-pronto-pod-integration) Productivity: [Melissa](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/702-melissa-integration)

That wraps it up for September! If you have any questions about getting your stores ready for the upcoming holiday season, remember that now is the time to reach out to us! We want to make sure your store is ready to rock this year, and the best way to do that is to get as prepared as possible before the orders start pouring in.

## August 2020

### What’s New at Order Desk? August 2020

We’ve been in an unfamiliar landscape in 2020, and the way we approach ecommerce has significantly changed. At Order Desk, we’re continuing to stay focused on our most important goal—helping your business be as efficient as possible in an unstable world. We’ve been listening to and learning from your input on what Order Desk can do for you and your business, so this month, we’d like to highlight some of our newest updates and integrations that we’ve incorporated into the Order Desk repertoire.

**App Updates:**

* Japanese addresses that use the ISO 3166-2 code can be converted to the full prefecture name in Japanese with the rule action **Convert State or Region to Full Name**.
* **Amazon Logistics** tracking links will automatically be created when Amazon Logistics is used as the carrier code in the shipment details.
* Export templates using FTP can now be set up to **Overwrite Existing File**.

**Shopping Cart Integration Updates:**

* **BigCommerce** Item level discounts have been added. If you need this enabled on your account, please respond to this email, and we’ll hook you up.
* **Houzz** We made improvements to how we send shipping carrier info to Houzz so it aligns with their list of supported carriers. You should be seeing fewer errors on Houzz orders.
* **Wayfair** The Wayfair integration has a new sandbox environment so you can test your setup before going live. Also, you can set up a rule action to look for and **Download Shipping Labels from Wayfair** on orders that have already been imported into Order Desk.
* **BrightStores** The BrightStores integration got a new option to [check for canceled orders within BrightStores](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/368-brightstores#settings). If enabled, set up a rule on the event **BrightStores Order Canceled** to take action on these orders in Order Desk. In addition to that, higher volume order downloads will process more smoothly.
* **Overstock** Choose from [Item Price or Retailer Price](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/556-overstock-integration#settings) as import options for your price field.

* **MWW On Demand** We made an update to filter out extra characters that were being imported with tracking numbers. Tracking numbers should now arrive with only their assigned numbers/letters.
* **Teamwork Athletic** UPS was added as a shipping option. To set up your shipping preferences, check out the [Shipping Class Match guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/235-shipping-class-match).

**Fulfillment Integration Updates:**

* **VeraCore** Set **NeededBy** as checkout data or metadata on an order and the date in that field will be sent with the order into VeraCore.
* **Cubyn** Custom packing slips can be sent to Cubyn. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/676-cubyn-integration#order).
* **Wemalo** We will receive shipment notifications via webhook more reliably.
* **OIA Global** Special characters in order numbers were causing some problems with getting orders to OIA Global. These will be removed automatically for a more reliable submission process.

## May-July 2020

If you’ve noticed a lack of Order Desk news gracing your inbox, it’s because we’ve been keeping our noses to the digital grindstone to ensure that our app could scale with the influx of new ecommerce businesses that the global pandemic introduced. We’ve added four new people to our team in four different countries, upgraded our infrastructure, and still found time to take a few short breaks for ice cream to keep ourselves pleasant.

There are so many updates from the last three months that it would take way too long to cover each one, so we’ve culled this list down to the most important features. Let’s get right to it!

* If you have access to more than one Order Desk store, there’s a new count number for all orders in the New folder for each store. You can access this info from your User Account Information page by clicking on\*\* Edit My Account\*\* under the\*\* Account \*\*menu:
* **Sendle**, **Purolator**, **Dynamex**, and **TForce** are all carrier codes that work in Order Desk. If you set any of these as the carrier code on a shipment, Order Desk will automatically create the tracking links for the corresponding carrier.
* If you have access to more than one Order Desk store from your email address, you’ll love this one. Before, visiting an order link for a store you were not logged into would show that the order didn’t exist in that store. Now, Order Desk will recognize what store the order is from and log you into it automatically as long as you have access to that store.
* The Order Desk API can accept multiple inventory updates at a time.
* The Rule Builder has [two new filter operators](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/551-rules-reference#filters): **Before Local Time** and\*\* After Local Time\*\*. You’ll also see that the In List and Not In List operators now work with wildcards by setting \* before or after the words. In this example, any order with an item named mug-something or something-shirt will be true and the rule will run on that order:

![](https://www.orderdesk.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/email-1024x193.jpg)

* Search for multiple SKUs in a single advanced search:

![](https://www.orderdesk.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/email-1.jpg)

**Shopping Carts**

* **Shopify**
  * The inventory cost in Shopify can be imported with your inventory items into Order Desk. If you need this feature, please respond to this email, and our team will enable it in your store.
  * There is a new rule action to **Cancel Order at Shopify.** If you use this action, you can tell Shopify whether or not to send the customer an email notification:

![](https://www.orderdesk.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/email-2.jpg)

* **Squarespace**
  * We made some changes on our side so high-volume stores will experience more reliable order downloading
  * If you only want to import certain order items, you can use the [Inventory Location Filter](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/339-squarespace#inventory-location-filter).
  * For orders [with the VAT tax included](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/339-squarespace#special-settings), Order Desk will include the VAT total in the order total and add the VAT amount as order metadata for your records.
* **Ecwid**
  * If a requested pickup date, time and instructions are on an order, they will be added as checkout data in Order Desk.
  * Incomplete orders can now be imported by selecting the “All” option under **Payment Status** in the integration settings.
* **TradeGecko** – Order Desk will automatically convert the bundle into the individual items and show those in the order here.
* **CommerceHub**
  * The Home Depot Canada and Costco are the newest vendors available.
  * Packing slips will be downloaded with orders if enabled from the integration settings page
  * You can select which field will be used as the SKU in Order Desk from the **Item SKU Style** setting in the integration. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/600-commercehub-integration).
* **Google Shopping** –
  * You can now connect via your Merchant ID.
  * Discounts will now be included with the order totals.
  * Order Desk will send inventory counts to Google Shopping if the **Sync Inventory** setting is enabled. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/488-google-shopping#settings).
* **Weebly** – If there is a pickup date and time on orders, it will be added as checkout data in Order Desk.
* **XoroONE**
  * Wave filtering got an upgrade so it should be working a little better this month.
  * Order Desk will send inventory counts to XoroOne if the **Sync Inventory** setting is enabled. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/486-xoroone-integration#settings).

**Fulfillment**

* **Falcon Fulfillment** – The Falcon integration has been updated to work with their new API connection.
* **VeraCore, Xpedite, Verde, ShipCentral, Logistics Plus** – If you check your orders for [backordered items](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/12-veracore#settings) with the new **Check for Backorder Status** setting, you can use the rule event **Order Backordered at VeraCore** (or Xpedite, Verde, etc.) to take action on these orders, such as moving them to a review folder.
* **Logistech Solutions** – If available, serial numbers will be downloaded with the shipment information.

**Print on Demand**

* **Alexander’s Print Advantage** –
  * Order Desk can receive cancelation notifications from Alexander’s. Select which folder you want canceled orders to move into, details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/665-alexander-s-print-advantage-integration#settings).
  * You can also use the rule event **Order Canceled at Alexander’s** to take action on orders as they are canceled, or use the rule action **Cancel Order at Alexander’s** to have Order Desk tell Alexander’s to cancel an order on their side.
* **District Photo** – Set the **DeclaredValue**, **DutyAmount** and **DutyPrepaid** price info for customs purposes on your orders. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/347-district-photo#send).
* **Just Vision It** – Image download is now streamlined so the process will be faster and more reliable for high resolution images.
* **Harrier** –
  * Item prices will automatically be sent to Harrier.
  * Better logs and webhooks are in place so the submission and fulfillment notifications between Order Desk and Harrier will be easier to track and, if something goes wrong, troubleshoot.
* **OneFlow** – New providers available are [Friedmann Print Data Solutions GmbH](https://www.druckdatenloesungen.de/) and [Hampden Press](https://www.hampdenpress.com/).
* **Printverse** – Choose from a Production or Staging environment when setting up your Printverse integration.
* **Scalable Press**
  * If you use the same Scalable Press account on more than one Order Desk store, you can set up webhook redirects so shipment info will find its way to the right Order Desk store. Find more details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/349-scalable-press#setup-redirects).
  * If an order number has already been sent to Scalable Press, we will give an error saying it’s a duplicate submission and won’t send the order through again.
  * Order Desk will automatically use the Source ID in the PO Name field.
* **Spoke Custom** – Use **print\_image\_type** as an item metadata field, to tell Spoke Custom what the image or artwork file type is if not JPG. The default will be JPG, including for Google Drive links. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/407-spoke-custom-integration#submit).

**Gateways**

* **Stripe** –
  * Stripe can send risk assessment info into Order Desk, which will be added as order metadata and can be used to take action on orders that are possibly fraudulent. To have this info added to your orders, use the rule action **Retrieve Stripe Risk Assessment**.
  * You can also capture payments through Stripe with the rule action **Capture Authorized Charge With Stripe**.

**Productivity**

* **SmartyStreets** – Updated to provide you with more international address validation options and to provide better feedback for [when an address is not valid](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/103-smartystreets#failed).

## April 2020

In light of current events, we felt a little uncomfortable posting an update this month without addressing the global health and economic crisis. COVID-19 has impacted all of our businesses, in one way or another, but we want to reassure you that we are still here to help you navigate any changes this has caused your company. Order Desk is designed to adapt to the changing needs of a business, so if you’re seeing uncommon trends in your order management process, contact us, and we’ll work with you to see if there’s a way to mitigate those changes with Order Desk.

Uncertain is a word we are hearing from every direction right now, and it’s the truth. We don’t know what will happen next, but you put your trust in us to make sure your orders are getting where you need them to go with as little interruption as possible. We will honor that trust, even in uncertain times. The Order Desk team has always been fully remote, our app is operating normally, and we will continue to offer the service you expect from us.

With that in mind, here are some of the updates we worked on this past month.

### New at Order Desk

We’re excited to finally announce that we have a new [recorded webinar](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCyl7Ftk61g) where we give a crash course on how to start automating your order management workflow.

In addition to that, we’ve also just released this [12-part video series](https://help.orderdesk.com/category/660-order-desk-demo-videos), which gives an in-depth look at how to set up and use Order Desk. It’s packed to the brim with information covering commonly used features and questions we get about how they work. We hope to release more video content for you in the future!

### Integration Updates

One of our earliest and most popular print on demand integrations, MWW, has recently launched new fulfillment locations in Europe and on the west coast of the US. You can continue to use our existing MWW integration for all US orders, and you’ll find a new MWW Europe integration for your European customers. Contact Shane Remington at MWW via [phone](https://tinyurl.com/mwwshane) or [email](mailto:shane@mwwondemand.com) to get your account configured for these new options.

Other integration updates include the following:

* Wayfair orders can now download the shipping labels and add the link to checkout data. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/378-wayfair#settings).
* The ShipWorks integration can accept new item fields, listed [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/119-shipworks#custom-details).
* Use the new rule action **Confirm Order Draft at Printful** to let Order Desk approve your Printful draft orders for fulfillment.
* Order Desk will bring in serial numbers from EasyPost Fulfillment. EasyPost support can help you set this up on their side, and, if found with the shipment details, Order Desk will automatically add the serial numbers to the items in your orders.
* Complemar can accept additional shipping reference information on orders with the ShipReference fields. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/443-complemar-integration#custom).
* With some new inventory and shipping feature fixes, the Deposco integration should be more reliable.
* Bang Printing switched FTP methods, so we updated our integration to continue supporting the connection with no interruption to you.

### New Integrations

We built two new cart integrations, [Webflow](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/649-webflow-integration) and [Zen Cart](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/658-zen-cart-integration), and two new fulfillment integrations, [Elevate Fulfillment](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/664-elevate-fulfillment-integration) and [Logistech](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/663-logistech-integration).

And it’s probably no surprise that there are several new print on demand integrations (everyone keeps asking for these!) You’ll now find connections to [Alexander’s](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/665-alexander-s-print-advantage-integration), [Beeoux](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/656-beeoux-integration), [Digitalab](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/666-digitalab-integration), [FotoCadeau](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/661-fotocadeau-integration), [Invition](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/657-invition-integration), [MWW EU](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/14-mww-on-demand), and [Stakes MFG](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/22-stakes-mfg-integration) from Order Desk.

## March 2020

Happy March!

I don’t know about you, but we had a busy February here at Order Desk. We kept our heads down and worked hard, so we’ve got a lot of updates to go through this month. Let’s get right to them!

### New Integrations

**Print on Demand:** [Gearment](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/654-gearment-integration) [Miami Sublimation](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/652-miami-sublimation-integration) [Prima Printing](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/455-prima-printing-integration)

**Shopping Carts:** [InkSoft](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/655-inksoft-integration) [SAGEMember](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/653-sagemember-integration)

### New at Order Desk

Most of our updates are integration specific, but we do a lot of work each month on the Order Desk app itself, too. Not to overlook those features, here’s what we worked on in February:

Refund Total is a new field to select in export templates, and export template file names can be created with Twig.

The APC-PLI carrier code has been added to the app so their tracking links will be created automatically..

Inventory imports that include negative quantities will now honor the negative quantity instead of setting it to zero—unless you tell the import template otherwise. This update also works for altering the quantity as needed. More details on how this works can be found [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/35-import-spreadsheet#stock-subtract).

Inventory Helper email notifications about low stock will include the Order Desk store name in the subject line.

### Integration Updates

These are the most interesting and relevant new features, updates and fixes we made to our integrations in February:

If you use EasyPost to create shipping labels in Order Desk, you can validate the shipping address with our new EasyPost Validation check. For details on how this works, see [this guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/74-easypost#validating-addresses-with-easypost). EasyPost also has more default FedEx box options to choose from when creating your labels.

EasyPost Fulfillment carrier codes will be more standard when they come into Order Desk so they play well with your shopping carts.

You can set up a rule to tell Order Desk what to do with an order that is canceled in eBay.

We built a second TradeGecko integration this month. This new version is for sending your orders to TradeGecko for fulfillment. If you plan to connect to TradeGecko Fulfillment, learn more about the integration [in this guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/648-tradegecko-fulfillment-integration).

Order Desk will be more efficient with sending inventory counts to Overstock, and the FedEx carrier code was fixed.

The Printful integration can accept stitch\_color on items, and you’ll see a product catalog in the integration settings. Use this catalog[ to find out the print\_sku and variation information](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/357-printful#print-sku) for the products you want to order. One last update, Printful shipments will be better about finding their orders from now on.

We made some Walmart improvements this month! We determined how they were sending shipping address info for store pick-up orders and adjusted how that appears in Order Desk for less confusion. The address2 field will be removed if it’s the same as the shipping name. Line item prices should be saving properly now. And we removed the inventory submission lag time and updated the app to support 30k inventory items at a time so your Walmart products will be updated the way you expect them to be.

Carrier codes coming in from fulfillment integrations will be sent to ShipStation Import to better match the carrier codes they use. The ShipStation Import integration was also updated to include order prefix and store-level order prefix settings.

Shopify orders will no longer import with refunded items on them. Please be aware that if the item is refunded after the order imports into Order Desk, the order will not be updated in Order Desk. Shopify item weights can now be saved in grams instead of converting to pounds; if you need this, please respond to this email, and we’ll set up your store to support it. If that wasn’t enough, you can now directly refund Shopify items from Order Desk. If you don’t see the option to refund items, disconnect your Shopify integration and then reconnect it again to see this button:

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

The FedEx Supply Chain integration will automatically clean invalid data more often.

Dubow orders will use +5 days as the date to ship value.

We saw some new-to-us details about Amazon Custom orders, so we took a pass through our code to make sure this feature is more extensive and better supported for your custom orders.

CustomCat order numbers will support special characters.

You can work with URLs in addition to files with the Dropbox integration. If you would rather add the URL for an existing file (or use Twig to create a URL that you know will be used), you can send the file to Dropbox with a rule. This works for both order level and item level fields. Look for the Upload File to Dropbox action in the Rule Builder:

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

Error messages coming through the VeraCore integration will be easier to understand.

Items sent to Teamwork Athletic have 8 new fields that can be included for the most customized print. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/497-teamwork-athletic-integration#submit).

The CrystalD integration got some upgrades so it will function better.

Order Desk will ignore untracked shipments for CommerceHub orders so there won’t be any issues with any real shipments added later.

The number of orders the BrightOrders integration can look for at a time has been increased to more than 50.

The Complemar integration was updated to support canceled orders.

PayPal has a new order prefix filter. If you are using this integration as a cart, you can set a prefix in this filter so only orders starting with the prefix will be imported into Order Desk.

If the first shipment on an Etsy order is untracked, the second shipment will be sent to Etsy.

Order Desk will use the color and size variants on Monster Digital items to build the print SKU automatically.

Similarly, the Dream Junction SKU builder was made more reliable.

You can send your customer phone numbers to Aftership for SMS notifications. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/650-aftership-integration#settings).

The Tshirt & Sons integration has a better address submission process, and the base URL for testing was updated.

Zakeke should be working with Shopify now.

Magento 1 has better carrier mapping for DHL and FedEx.

If you have a SKU in an order that Wayfair won’t recognize, you can tell Order Desk to leave that item out of the shipment submission back to Wayfair by setting wayfair\_skip=1 as item metadata. This will keep the entire shipment from being rejected because it doesn’t recognize the item as one from Wayfair.

Scalable Press started sending their shipment notification webhooks in a different way, so we updated how we catch them.

Tell BDLinx if you want a white underbase on prints with the print\_underbase field. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/447-bdlinx-integration#submit).

That’s what we’ve got for this month. If you need extra information about any of these updates, don’t be a stranger. We’d love to hear from you!

*Amy and the Order Desk Team*

## February 2020

We’re back!

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/gp26uCkYRRbLLgehgqxVAK?w=800\&fit=max)

The Order Desk team spent a week together in January on the Oregon coast where we were able to collect our vision for 2020. Ideas were discussed, ice cream was consumed, and we even put out a [teaser](https://twitter.com/orderdeskrules/status/1219364280627343360) for an upcoming resource that will make Order Desk easier to learn.

We’re all excited about where we’re headed and hope you will be too as we accomplish the goals we set for ourselves this year!

### New Features

With our retreat officially in our rearview, we’ve been focusing on some bigger-picture tasks so you’ll see fewer bug fixes and features this month.

The most notable new feature from this past month is the ability to move orders back to the previous folder with a new rule action:

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

If a large amount of orders happen to accidentally end up in a folder where they shouldn’t be, you’ll now be able to revert that change without needing to *manually move thousands of orders back by hand.*

![](https://embed.filekitcdn.com/e/dDYhGhYfNV9GZjqkyJS3sj/dtNq2555Q7G1baHqrUwZbi?w=800\&fit=max)

If this has happened to you, you know what a nightmare it can be! We hope this new rule action helps out in the future when things go a little wrong.

There are two new integrations this month as well: [TaxJar](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/645-taxjar-integration) for accounting and the print on demand service [All Ambitions](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/646-all-ambitions-integration).

Here are the other fixes and improvements from last month:

* OIA Global will be better at pulling in shipment details, and we’ve added support to this integration for the Routing Parcel shipment method.
* TradeGecko’s shippability order search has been fixed.
* If you’ve been with us for awhile and you use import or export templates, you may have noticed that Daylight Savings always threw off the appointment times by an hour. We’re happy (and relieved) to finally announce that this long standing bug has been fixed, and just in time for this next round of time changes too.
* The SPOD integration has improved out of stock notifications.
* We adjusted the app to apply EST to all CommerceHub shipment and invoice submissions.
* The Falcon Fulfillment integration connection method was upgraded to support their new security options.
* The Cimpress integration got an update to support their new V2 shipment options and direct Document Reference URLs. It also now accepts [webhook redirects](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/642-cimpress-integration#redirects) if you have the same Cimpress account connected to more than one Order Desk store.
* The Jet integration got a fix for an error with returns management.
* The Progressive Solutions integration has improved messaging upgrades and more data export protections.
* The 3PL Central integration will now accept phone numbers with your orders.
* You can send print orders to the [Your Print Partner](http://yourprintpartner.co.uk/) through the OneFlow integration.
* FedEx Supply Chain updated their API, so we migrated their integration over as well.

This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.orderdesk.com/release-notes/2022-and-older/2020.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
