## December 2018

Dan you believe it’s already the end of the year!? We’re feeling the holidan rush, and we imagine you are too. As this year comes to a close, we will be here to support you every way we dan. Are we being redun*dan*t? That brings us to our next dan point.

Meet our newest team member, Dan Valenzuela!

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

Dan (also known around here as Dan V, Dan², or Dan Again) hails from Oregon by way of Southern California. He loves junk food, animals, naps, sarcasm, and writing about himself. Mention Star Wars around him and he’ll never shut up about his favorite characters and books. Is that a threat? Maybe!

Dan will be wearing a few hats here, but you’ll be getting to know him as he helps out with support. Our team is now ⅖ Dans. If you talk to us often, you may get confused, but don’t worry, almost half of us now answer to Dan. One way or another, you’ll get your danswer.

### MWW Update: What is that Bad Address Request Error Anyway?

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about this “Bad Address Request” error on MWW orders.

MWW recently announced that orders with invalid shipping addresses will be rejected. If the shipping address on the order doesn’t match what the shipping carrier considers valid, you’ll see this error.

If that happens, check with the shipping carrier’s online address validation tool to see what they say is the right address, or you can use our [SmartyStreets](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/103-smartystreets) integration to validate the addresses for you. Once you’ve fixed the shipping address, you can re-submit the order to MWW.

### Integration Update

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

This month, we released four new Print on Demand integrations:

[Fujifilm](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/467-fujifilm-integration) [Equipe](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/466-equipe-integration) [Pwinty](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/468-pwinty-integration) [ACI](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/469-aci-integration)

And three more fulfillment services:

[PDR](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/413-pdr-integration) [Wemalo](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/471-wemalo-integration) [SmartBooks](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/470-smartbooks-integration)

If you are already working with PDR in Order Desk via import and export templates, your connection will still work as it always has. If you’d prefer to switch over to the official integration, send us an email if you need any help making that transition.

### Fixes, Improvements and New Features

* Question: What do you get if you use code replace to turn Item A into Item B, but then you also use code replace to turn Item B into Item A? Before: Infinite unbundling. *Historical screenshot unavailable.* Now: Nothing. Phew.
* Our support for Wayfair’s inventory sync is working quite a bit better this month.
* Updated DTG2Go’s shipment matching options.
* Amazon North America, Europe, and Australia can now connect using our developer ID. Details can be found on the integration setup page.
* Centrics now has a better authentication process.
* Turns out there were some shipping discounts in Shopify that we weren’t applying to orders, but now we do.
* Order imports and refunds now support orders that include Shopify’s upcoming multi-currency feature. Just to be up front, we don’t support multi-currency ourselves, but we *will* be able to refund the currency in which the order was placed.
* Our webhook connection with Shopify has been improved, resulting in more accurate cancellation notifications.
* Alba Trees now supports orders with multiple quantities.
* Print on Demand stores can now skip product codes for both print\_skus and regular product SKUs. More details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/405-print-on-demand-product-settings#skip).
* When importing orders with ShipHero, we can now pull in any shipments on those orders as well. Also, ShipHero was rate limiting some of you, so we adjusted the way we communicate with them to keep this at bay a little better.
* More Qualtry products!
* We made improvements to the way cost information is sent to Just Vision It.
* InkLocker now supports setting default DPI and image sizes/offsets per store.
* Oberlo’s shipment submission should be working much better now.
* EasyPost was having a hard time recognizing international orders for merchants not in the US. We fixed that. Now we’re international for you like you are for us.
* Spelling was giving us some trouble again, this time with the Dream Junction integration and one particular product. The 3600\_LT products will now be sent as LT\_GRAY instead of LT\_GREY. ?
* MWW no longer accepts your unique PO Number field (if set as checkout data). To get around this new limitation, we will still send your PO Number to them, but we’ll send it through in the order number field instead. ?
* Export templates now handle extra line items per order and per item more intuitively. While we were at it, we added the EXTRA-LINE-BEFORE-ITEM custom option so the extra lines can be headers instead of footers if you want.
* We created a hierarchy for Shipping Class Matches. Now, an earlier exact shipping match will override a later partial match. No idea what we’re talking about? If you aren’t using [Shipping Class Match](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/235-shipping-class-match) in your fulfillment integration, you probably want to be.
* OPT On Demand will be better at finding shipments now.
* You can now test the T-shirt & Sons and Faya integrations before applying them to live orders.
* Our connection to ShipStation has been improved so it will better support those really large batches of shipments they send back that like to get lost. ?
* LA Sublimation now accepts the print\_url field for your artwork to be sent directly to them with the order. Don’t know how this works yet? Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/15-print-on-demand-fulfillment#add).
* We added support for the new *ClientJobRef* field at Circle Graphics and also updated our logic to no longer send the *ShipToPerson* field if it is not needed.
* When receiving shipments from ShipStation, we’ll now check the service code to determine what flavor of DHL it should be.
* Selz was sending us failed and voided orders that looked like totally new orders. ?That won’t be happening anymore.
* We improved how we handle Kokolo’s print\_sku support field.
* We fixed an issue with the incorrect webhook reference URL for Custom Gateway.
* We’re Americans; we sometimes get a little confused about UK addresses. No worries, though… we’ve fixed the shipping state field for Custom Gateway, even though admittedly, we’re still a little confused about UK addresses. ?
* The print type on Zazzle labels are now uppercase, which is good news because now it means your labels will print correctly.
* If you manually check for a shipment from 3PL Central, we will no longer pull in the tracking number if the order doesn’t have a process date yet. No more fake tracking updates!
* When doing shipment imports, you can now set a tracking url template to be used on the shipment or even a custom template per order. Details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/35-import-spreadsheet#manual).
* If use 17track as a shipping carrier, we will create a 17track URL automatically.
* The OIA Global integration now includes FedEx One Rate and DHL options.

If you’d like smaller, more frequent updates in addition to these every month, be sure to [follow us on Twitter.](https://twitter.com/orderdeskme)

Have a *dan*-tastic holiday season, and we’ll see you again in 2019!

*Dan, Dan and the rest of the Order Desk team*

## November 2018

Did you send us an email recently but then never heard back?

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

It’s not a trick… ?

We noticed that our email service treated ? us to a one-way ticket to your spam folder! We think we’ve been able to determine what was causing it and are working on getting some answers from the culprit, but please check your spam folder if you’re still waiting on our reply.

Don’t forget that you can also reach out to us [on Twitter](https://twitter.com/orderdeskme)!

### Integration Update

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

Here’s some more information about each of them:

* [POV.ink](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/464-pov-integration)
* [ClosetCanvas](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/440-closetcanvas-integration)
* [Just Vision It](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/450-just-vision-it)
* [Oberlo](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/463-oberlo-integration)
* [Alba Trees](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/460-alba-trees-integration)

### Fixes, Improvements and New Features

* Are Q-Ready for this? If you use QR codes or barcodes, Order Desk just got a lot easier for you. No more messing with JavaScript in your code, you can now add them natively. To learn more, head over to our [Building Custom Templates guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/47-build-custom-templates#qr).
* Don’t want to wait for the email to show up to see how it looks? Now you can preview your email templates right in Order Desk. To see this in action, open up one of your exsting email templates, scroll down to the Send Preview Email section, drop in a real order number from your store, and click that Preview Email button. ? We should have thought of this sooner! ![](https://convertkit.s3.amazonaws.com/assets/pictures/575/1640708/content_Screen_Shot_2018-10-26_at_2.31.11_PM.png)
* There’s a new action in the rule builder called Process Manual Shipments. If you use EasyPost, this lets you decide when to run the shipment added event on your orders. More details [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/74-easypost#delay).
* A new custom field is available for your export templates. If you need to show the number of the lines in the template within their own column, use ‘current\_line\_number’. This is one of many custom fields available. See them all [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/19-build-export-templates#custom-fields).
* We have opened the gates! You can now download your untracked BigCommerce inventory into Order Desk.
* If the price you have set in your shopping cart is different from the price you have saved to your inventory item in Order Desk, we will honor the shopping cart price. However, if you have a reason to overwrite that price once your orders get to Order Desk, you can now do that using the new item metadata price\_override field. Find out how that works [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/316-sync-item-details#price).
* Import templates have gotten two new improvements this month. The first is an alternate date format for those of you not in the US who think our date formats are a little… wrong. ? Choose the d/mm/yy format when setting up your import template matches, and you and our British developer will be a little happier. The second is a new manual mapping feature that allows you to set a prefix before the order number on import. To do this, add source\_id\_prefix = X (replacing the X with the prefix you actually want, of course) to the manual mapping area of your import template.
* We will now check Walmart twice a day for orders that have been canceled. If an order was canceled after it was sent to Order Desk, you will be emailed. You can also set up a rule to take other actions on the order when that happens. For more details, see [this guide](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/182-walmart#canceled).
* You can now send gift messages to Printful. Like all integrations, this doesn’t happen automatically. Read [these instructions](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/405-print-on-demand-product-settings#gift) to learn how to get your store set up for this.
* If you use the Duplicate Items button directly beneath the items in your order… you can duplicate the selected items in your order. This lets you add additional line items to the order for multiple quantities of a single item rather than multiplying the quantity of that item on a single line. *Historical screenshot unavailable.*
* Two new options with reports were built this month. You can now exclude specific item variations from the report, and if you were hoping for better monthly information, now you can create a report to show that monthly breakdown.
* You wanted more options with your imports, so you’re getting them! You can now import extra information into the checkout data and order metadata fields when importing a shipment file.
* Folder ID? What folder ID? We get it, those folder IDs were confusing. You just wanted to call them by their names, so now you can. When building rules, if you need to add a folder condition, choose the folder name from a dropdown. No more numbers that leave room for error.
* ShipStation should be working a little bit better this month. We won’t download shipments that have been voided, we will continue to attempt to communicate with ShipStation if your account has been rate limited, and we can now better handle third party shipping values. But that’s not all! We can now set the tag on an order we send to ShipStation by using the tagID field.
* District Photo now has improved error logging and returns. This makes it easier for us to troubleshoot when things don’t go quite as expected.
* If you were using refunds with the Shopify integration, turns out we were showing the refund box option for all the orders on your store. Whoops! You couldn’t have done anything with that, but we fixed it anyway. It’ll only show up on your Shopify orders now.
* The GB country code in the Gooten integration has been adjusted for added compatibility.
* If you use Asendia, the tracking link format we create for their shipments should be working for you now.
* CustomCat got a lot of updates this month. You can now set a preset\_id and mockup\_url field to your items, the order submission process has been improved and will be more reliable, we will do a better job of matching fulfillment\_id values on incoming shipments and attempt to set the right carrier codes, and the catalog ID values will be displayed better so you can get the info you need more quickly.
* Your Wayfair orders will now have the phone numbers included when we download them into Order Desk.
* The Jondo Global integration has more accurate tracking URLs for DHL shipments.
* Specialty Fulfillment Center has a more reliable shipment response.
* We have two new custom settings that will sort your order items by either product name or product code. If you want your orders to display order items this way, let us know and we’ll set it up on your store.
* The Walmart integration is easier to set up and change because we now prefill the channel type values for you.
* If you have a store with multiple users and want to track some of their activity, there’s a new way to use rules to do this. Set the name of the user as order metadata using orderdesk\_user\_name (between two sets of curly braces). For example: ![](https://convertkit.s3.amazonaws.com/assets/pictures/575/1640802/content_Screen_Shot_2018-11-01_at_12.16.08_PM.png)
* We’ve improved the logic behind some of our country abbreviations.
* InkLocker is more reliable and stable.
* BrightStores orders will now have the shipping method included when we pull them in.
* Add comments to your BigCommerce shipments with a checkout data field called ShipmentComment. We’ll send that comment back to BigCommerce instead of “Received From Order Desk” when we tell them about the shipment details. Also, the BigCommerce integration will now run the inventory sync more efficiently and correctly.
* You can now set color and size options on your Dubow products. To do so, add an additional item metadata field of add\_size\_color|1, then add your size and color details as metadata or variations.
* We did a lot of behind-the-scenes work to improve the way we generate PDFs.
* International shipping options are now hardcoded into Order Desk for the Zift integration. This should make setting up your preferences a little bit easier.

The holiday season is quickly approaching! We’ll be monitoring the app closely in preparation for the influx of orders you’re expecting. We will also continue to be available for your questions during US business hours and will respond as quickly as possible.

As you probably are aware, Order Desk is a robust app. It can take anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks to set up or change your workflow. We recommend contacting us now if you think you’ll need help, so you are ready before the holiday rush starts.

Now, onto the truly important matters: go eat some of that Halloween candy! You can say that we gave you permission to have a little extra. ?

***Integration Specific Improvements***

* Did you notice Shopify’s been making some fulfillment and inventory updates? ?We’ve been doing our best to keep up and have been improving our fulfillment submission process to make sure your store is still running smoothly.
* Don’t you hate it when FBA won’t accept an order because it has an unsupported shipping method? Well, good news if you’re using FBA EU! If we run into this failure, we will auto-downgrade the shipping method and attempt to resubmit the order for you.
* We’ve added phone number support to the submitted details for your MWW orders.
* We’ve got your back—we’ll now send a note when shipments can’t be posted to Etsy.
* Did you know there was a typo on the eBay integration page for four years? Yep, neither did we. ?
* Now we can convert PDFs to JPGs for Jondo on the fly when we send your orders. Piece of cake! Need this for your store? Let us know.
* Zift now has improved shipping method support, and we also added brand support during asset upload.
* The PhotoUSA integration now includes UPS Mail Innovations as an option.
* You can now add the TextualProductID to your items when using the Custom Gateway integration.
* Have more control over your Wayfair order downloads with import date cutoffs. Phew.
* We’ve also increased clarity on the wording we use when we set Wayfair shipping methods. Plus we’ve also started automatically setting the Wayfair shipping account numbers on your orders.
* Want to change your Amazon Marketplace product fulfillment method or the days to fulfillment settings? [Now it’s possible.](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/50-amazon#features)
* Adding your third party shipping accounts to Circle Graphics just got WAY easier. Now you can set the full shipping account number Circle Graphics requires in the integration settings and just add the shipping account number itself directly to the order. We’ll do the rest. If you’ve had to deal with this before, this will be a huge help. Read more about it [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/281-circle-graphics#shipping-settings).
* Same day option is now available with Shipwire. Learn more [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/118-shipwire#customize).

***Other Fixes and Improvements***

* Is it Gray? Grey? Heather? Foggy? What is that color anyway? Clear up any color confusion with the new color conversion feature available for all print-on-demand integrations. Read more about how to do this [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/405-print-on-demand-product-settings#match).
* Want us to send your shipment details somewhere specific? Set a url in ship\_notify\_url in the order metadata for a built-in webhook, and we’ll send the details there for you when the order gets shipped.
* We’ve been hearing from you about this one for awhile, so we’re happy to finally announce that if you use product code match or code replace, we’ll do a much better job of splitting the cost and weight proportionally, and we’ll even combine multiple line items where possible.
* If you had the auto-decrement inventory feature turned on, you may have noticed your inventory was deducted twice when splitting orders. Yeah. That’s not going to happen anymore.
* We’ll now append a 0 to the four digit zip codes in CT, MA, ME, NH, NJ, PR, RI, VT in case your zip codes got truncated by an Excel export.
* Added alternate print URLs for some print-on-demand services so you can be specific about which templates you send where. If you need this, let us know.
* We made a little precautionary internal tweak so DST time changes won’t mess up when orders are downloaded.
* We’re not sure why you’d want to remove your item variations ¯\_(ツ)\_/¯, but if you really want to, go for it with the new Delete Order Item Variations rule action!
* We’ll automatically create a tracking URL if you add an S.F. Express shipment to your order.

If there’s anything you think we missed, or something you’d like to see in the November update, feel free to hit us up on social!

## August 2018

Happy August! July has been one of our busiest and most productive months in who-knows-how-long; seriously, just wait ‘til you see everything we did this month. We also added a new face to the Order Desk team. Ready to learn all about it? Let’s do this!

***

### Meet Dan!

In July, we welcomed Order Desk’s newest team member, Dan Schenker. Dan brings with him years of experience in support and social media at a high profile SaaS company. In his own (third-person) words, “Dan was born in the same small town in northern New Jersey as Janeane Garofalo, and that’s about the only thing that links them together. A husband and dad, he spends his professional life working in the internet industry and as a photographer. His dog, Pepper Potts, is a beagle chihuahua mix that naps 90% of the day.”

We’re really excited to have Dan on the team. Feel free to give him a \[warm welcome]\(mailto:<support@orderdesk.com>?subject=Hi Dan!) (if that’s your thing).

### New Integrations

We built seven new integrations this past month. [Check them out](https://el2.convertkit-mail3.com/c/preview/e5uph7/aHR0cHM6Ly9hcHAub3JkZXJkZXNrLm1lL2ludGVncmF0aW9ucw==) in your dashboard today!

* **Shopping Carts:** [Wayfair](https://el2.convertkit-mail3.com/c/preview/78i7h8/aHR0cHM6Ly9oZWxwLm9yZGVyZGVzay5tZS9hcnRpY2xlLzM3OC13YXlmYWly)
* **Print on Demand:** [Custom Gateway](https://el2.convertkit-mail3.com/c/preview/opfkhq/aHR0cHM6Ly9oZWxwLm9yZGVyZGVzay5tZS9hcnRpY2xlLzM5OS1jdXN0b20tZ2F0ZXdheQ==) | [SKYOU](https://el2.convertkit-mail3.com/c/preview/zvtghn/aHR0cHM6Ly9oZWxwLm9yZGVyZGVzay5tZS9hcnRpY2xlLzM5NS1za3lvdQ==) | [OP Tiger](https://el2.convertkit-mail3.com/c/preview/pnceh9/aHR0cHM6Ly9oZWxwLm9yZGVyZGVzay5tZS9hcnRpY2xlLzM5Ny1vcC10aWdlcg==)

### Shopify Inventory Updates

If you are a Shopify user, you’re likely aware of their [pending location inventory change](https://el2.convertkit-mail3.com/c/preview/kmbmh6/aHR0cHM6Ly9oZWxwLnNob3BpZnkuY29tL2VuL2FwaS9ndWlkZXMvaW52ZW50b3J5LW1pZ3JhdGlvbi1ndWlkZQ==). This month we launched our support for their new API requirements. Not everyone’s inventory was stored at the location that was expected, so we ran into a few bugs initially. We made updates to save the proper location ID for inventory stock updates that failed the first time and everything should be working as intended. ?

## July 2018

Hello, hello! How are you? Can you believe 2018 is already half over? Us either!

We’ve got several new and exciting integrations and features to share this month so let’s not waste any time. You ready?

***

### Five New Integrations

Our team built five new integrations this month! They include a new shopping cart (Selz), three new print-on-demand providers (Kokolo, LA Sublimation, and PMI), and one new CRM (Klaviyo). [See them all](https://app.orderdesk.com/integrations) in your dashboard today!

• • •

### Create Custom Buttons

We now have the ability to create custom buttons which will allow you to do all sorts of custom stuff (or even a whole string of custom things from a single button press). Use a button to re-queue custom script processing or whatever your heart desires. Learn more [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/394-how-to-use-custom-buttons) and check it out in your store [here](https://app.orderdesk.com/rule-builder).

• • •

### Duplicate Import Templates

Save yourself the time and energy of recreating templates! Now you can duplicate them with one click. Head over to your [import templates](https://app.orderdesk.com/import-templates) to see this in action.

• • •

### Search Order History With Advanced Search

Our Advanced Search feature just got even more handy. You can now use it to search order history! This is really helpful if you’d like to find certain orders that were submitted to an integration or orders that were moved to a certain folder or tagged a certain color. Try it out for yourself and learn more about advanced search [here](https://help.orderdesk.com/article/247-search-orders#adv).

## March 2018

Hey there – welcome to our March update. We’re excited to share what we’ve been up to… let’s just skip the intro and jump right in, deal? Deal.

**Our New Website**

We’ve been hard at work creating our new and improved Order Desk public website. Our goal is to make easier and more enjoyable to navigate the site and find the information you need. In the coming months we’ll be adding even more to the site including dedicated integration pages (a one-stop shop for learning all about how Order Desk works with a specific integration).

**API Rate Limiting**

In order to protect Order Desk and ensure that no one is abusing the system we will soon be enabling rate limiting. This means that we will limit API requests from each store to 100 requests per 30 seconds. We’ve been saving logs over the last month and if it looks like your site will be having a problem, we’ve sent you an email, so if you haven’t heard from us, don’t worry about it. If you do plan to build something that calls our API a *lot*, be aware of these new limits. We plan start enforcing the rate limiting around the middle of March.

**New Integrations**

We added five new [integrations](https://www.orderdesk.com/integrations) this month!

* District Photo – Print on Demand
* Loxley Colour – Print on Demand (UK)
* Scalable Press – Print on Demand
* 3P Logistics – Warehouse Fulfillment (UK)
* CommerceHQ – Shopping Cart

**Preparation for SmartTurn Infrastructure Changes**

If you use SmartTurn, your access URL’s will soon change since your service will be migrating to a new system. But you don’t have to worry about your connection to Order Desk. We are working with SmartTurn directly and will be taking care of this for you.

**Other Fixes and Upgrades**

We’ve had a really busy month with new features, fixes and integrations. Check it out:

* We’ve added the return address phone field for OneFlow.
* Our Circle Graphics integration now support an ‘Address 2’ field.
* We fixed La Poste tracking links.
* We added a |capitalize filter option for template twig.
* We updated the default ship dates for OIA Global to work better for everyone.
* A DSCO update: we’ve added ability to check shipments manually since the webhooks aren’t quite ready to go yet.
* Our Colorado Timberline integration received a fix for uncaught DHL shipment imports.
* A Magento2 fix corrected positive discount values.
* We added some fixes to ensure proper submissions for JakPrints.
* We’ve added the ability to do set a confirm url when adding subscribers to MailChimp.
* We added the ability to set a custom print\_url for the Photo USA integration.
* When using Aftership, we’ll do a better job recognizing DHL shipments
* We’ve added the ability to check shipping status more often at Fulfillrite.
* FoxyCart now supports more than 300 items in a single order. (You know who you are!)
* EasyPost received two updates this month: we added a setting to clarify who pays customs duties and it also now properly handles empty tracking numbers from Royal Mail.
* An update was added to deduct stock counts when adding items through the API or directly from Order Desk (but only if you have that setting turned on in Store Settings).
* An update for Dubow: we’re no longer sending the unneeded customer design code.
* Our Twilio integration got some TLC and we made some updates to handle international SMS.
* A Dream Junction update added staging support in case you’d like to do some testing.
* Our ShipStation integration got two updates: we added cancel by rule support and we now allow for empty SKUs.
* If you use Magento2 and need to download custom attributes, you are in luck. This feature has been added.
* We added a new VeraCore provider: Intandem Solutions.
* Our Shopify integration was updated so that if an order number is in place when the order is sent from Order Desk to Shopify, it is added to the order and the whole order marked as fulfilled.
* FTP Import updates: now handles uppercase file names and filters out apostrophes from tracking number.
* [Manual shipment imports](https://app.orderdesk.com/add-shipments) now support carrier codes in case you’d like to pass that data when pasting to Order Desk in bulk.
* ShipStation got an update to automatically add ship from locations if you are using Return Addresses.
* Lots of our providers had updated their logos so we went through and got everybody updated. You might notice some fresh new integration logos in the app.

Whew! Productive month, eh? Thanks for tuning in for our monthly update. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to [reach out](mailto:support@orderdesk.com). We are excited to hear from you.

See you in April,

*The Order Desk Team*
{% endupdate %}

{% update date="2018-02-08" %}

## February 2018

Hey there – welcome back! We hope 2018 has been treating you well. January has been a busy month for our team and today, we’re excited to share all of the new additions we’ve been working on. Let’s jump right in, shall we?

**Check out our updated our logo.**

Did you see our updated logo? We decided it was time for a bit of a branding update and hope you enjoy the refresh. You can see our new logo in action below (shown in the [app](https://app.orderdesk.me/dashboard) – updated logo is on the right!), on our [help site](http://help.orderdesk.me) and on the Order Desk [website](https://www.orderdesk.me/). Speaking of our website, we’ve got a boatload of updates coming in the near future, so stay tuned!

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

**Save time by saving reports.**

Have you ever wished that you could save a report and be able to pull it up later? Well, we are happy to announce that you can now save [reports](https://app.orderdesk.me/reports) and pull them up at any time. This makes it easy to have different kinds of picklists and product type reports that you can grab at any time without rebuilding a lot of complicated report settings. We hope you enjoy this new feature.

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

**We now integrate with Squarespace.**

We’re excited to announce our integration with Squarespace that gives you the ability to download your Squarespace orders with ease. Ready to get started? Head over to your [integrations](https://app.orderdesk.me/integrations) page and click ‘Enable’ under the Squarespace integration.

*Historical screenshot unavailable.*

On top of that…

* The [Spoke Custom](http://www.spokecustom.com/) print on demand integration is now live.
* We’ve updated our Shopify integration to allow you to download unshipped and partially shipped orders as well as paid and partially refunded orders all at the same time.
* When sending orders to Shopify, you can now set the Shopify order number to your order number; set the checkout data “SetOrderNumber” to “1” on the order.
* We’ve updated our Fulfillrite integration so that we no longer pull in shipments that don’t yet have tracking numbers. This will keep you from getting shipments with no tracking attached.
* We rebuilt our Zen Desk app to support their v2 framework.
* You now have the ability to copy rules to other stores!
* Our Jondo integration now allows you to specify specific shipping methods.
* We added a new confirm URL field in export template in case you want to include it in your CSV exports.
* Ever accidentally deleted a rule that you spent *so much* time creating? It’s the worst. Now you can protect yourself from that with a confirmation window.
* An update to our Shopify integration now provides further protection against rate limiting when doing product syncing.
* The country search fields now support ! in front of the value for a “not” search.
* Search Optimizations! The following fields now require a direct search rather than just searching part of a value: Customer Name, Email, Shipping Method, Source Name, City, State, Country, Phone, Email, Category Code, Fulfillment ID, and Customer ID. While this means that searches have to be more accurate, it will mean that they will perform faster.
* Amazon Marketplace orders can now be canceled from within Order Desk.
* If you’ve updated an MWW order address after the order was sent, you can now send MWW the updated order using our new MWW Order Update Feature.
* We’ve updated our FoxyCart integration to import the customer tax ID value if it is entered – you’ll find it in the checkout data.
* An update for Magento2: we are now URL-encoding all SKUs being updated at Magento2 on the off chance that a SKU has a funny character like # or / in it. We want to make sure that all inventory counts get updated properly!
* We’ve made an update to Colorado Timberline so you can now send orders to their staging environment for testing, if you wish.
* If you are using HelpScout and are also an eBay seller, we’ve updated our HelpScout integration so that it will match orders based on the Customer ID instead of the generic email address.
* When updating an order via the API, we will now execute the “Order Details Changed” event.
* EasyPost has a new logo and gosh it looks nice!
* We fixed some rule logic regarding missing negative not like’s. It was so complicated that, honestly, we can’t even remember what the problem was. But it’s fixed now.
* An update for our BigCommerce integration: we added the ability to download “Awaiting Pickup” orders.
* Imported WooCommerce orders will now have a payment type set for them.
* We’ve added some Dubow Textile color conversion updates.
* Again on the theme of ‘protecting yourself from yourself’ – when inadvertently pressing Enter on a manual order submission, we’ll now make sure that’s really what you wanted to do.
* We added a Twig filter (\*|country) to convert country abbreviations to full country names in case you need to do this on a email or receipt template.
* We’ve updated our Shopify order export feature to allow for sending Shopify to Shopify (if it’s from another store).
* We’ve updated the tracking url for the service La Poste.

But wait, there’s more! We have a few integrations in the pipeline that will be available soon. Keep your eyes peeled for these new integrations:

* Loxely Colour
* DTG Now
* District Photo

And that’s a wrap! Thanks for tuning in for another monthly update. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to [reach out](mailto:support@orderdesk.me).

See you in March,

-The Order Desk Team
{% endupdate %}

## January 2018

**Happy New Year!** Can you believe it’s already 2018? Honestly, us either.

We’re excited to share all of the awesome features our team has created this past month, but before we dive in, can we just take a moment to say thanks? Order Desk grew in many ways in 2017 and we couldn’t have done it without you! In 2017, we downloaded **4.8 million orders**, added **100+ new support articles** to the [help site](http://help.orderdesk.me), built **20+** [**integrations**](https://www.orderdesk.me/integrations/), and welcomed **two new full-time employees**. That wouldn’t have been possible without you. So, thank you for allowing us to help your business succeed; we are really grateful.

In 2018, we are excited to continue building new features and integrations, create new and improved support articles, and provide the best darn support ever!

Alright, now onto the cool, new features from December 2017, shall we?

Have you ever tried to set up a rule only to find yourself struggling to find the Folder ID? We’ve felt your pain and want to make it easier for you. Now when you add the “If Folder ID” condition, you’ll see the Folder IDs show up to the left of the folder name so you don’t have to fumble about to find it. Check it out:

Yep, we love you!

### Shipstation Integration Supports Manual Shipment Check on an Entire Folder

We heard from some of you that you’ve had trouble getting ShipStation shipments to come in regularly. We’ve been working with ShipStation trying to figure out what’s going on, but for now we’ve added a feature that allows you to check all the shipments in a folder at once. Head over to your [ShipStation settings](https://app.orderdesk.me/integration/shipstationapi), scroll to the bottom of the page, and click this button:

We hope this will help find any missing shipments that didn’t get reported.

### Shopify Country Filter

If you only want to download Shopify orders from a certain country, we’re now making this easier than ever. Just enter the target countries separated by a comma and we’ll skip any orders that aren’t in this list. This makes it easier to use Order Desk for submission to certain countries and to ignore others.

Note: While a lot of our features are available for all users, Order Desk Pro is required for this particular feature. Not on Pro? [Upgrade today](https://app.orderdesk.me/billing)!

On top of that, we did all of this:

* **You can now search for orders that don’t have a certain checkout data value by putting a ! in front of a checkout data query**
* **Check incoming Shopify webhooks to make sure the shipment is being added to the right split** *If you had an order that had been split and were also downloading Shopify shipments, we’d be adding the incoming shipment to all the order splits. This has been fixed.*
* **Making sure Magento shipment submissions are asynchronous** *This supports faster, more reliable tracking loads and cart submissions.*
* **Don’t send manually entered line items in a shipment to Walmart** *This was causing some chaos for some customers.*
* **Changing Lynx to Logistics Plus** *Lynx is now Logistics Plus! Look for the new logo on the Fulfillment tab of your* [*integrations*](https://app.orderdesk.me/integrations)*page.*
* **Always show edit buttons on order detail page (no longer on hover)** *The edit button on the order detail page used to appear only on hover and that was kind of confusing for people. Those buttons now appear all the time. Hallelujah!*
* **Update shipment checking archive features for OIA** *We worked with OIA to ensure that shipment files would be properly archived so that all shipments could be checked. Because we care.*
* **Support new Customer\_SKU feature for Circle Graphics** *Circle Graphics recently added a feature to allow you to pass certain SKUs without any print\_url’s. We added this support on our side as well. Read in* [*the docs*](http://help.orderdesk.me/article/281-circle-graphics) *about how to do this.*
* **Allow custom Cimpress print URLs** *If you need to have different versions of your print\_url for cimpress and other providers, you can now use cimpress\_url and it will take precedence over print\_url.*
* **Adding New Zealand State Codes** *We now support New Zealand state codes and a more robust matching algorithm for state abbreviations.*
* **Adding Import Process Queue delay option** *If you’d like to delay your import (oh… let’s say you want to give your tracking numbers time to post at the shipper) you can now enter “delay=1 hour” or “delay=20 minutes” in the manual mapping section.*
* **Adding ShipStation Cancellation Feature** *You can now cancel orders at ShipStation with a rule or by clicking the button on the order detail page.*
* **Activating Spoke Custom integration** *The Spoke Custom integration is now up and running in case you’d like to use their services. Find out more about all our providers at the* [*Print on Demand Provider*](http://help.orderdesk.me/article/238-print-on-demand-providers) *page.*
* **Adding Warehouse ID fields to SparkPay (Americommerce)** *This is very helpful if you’d like to set up splitting by Warehouse ID. Look for some branding updates soon as Americommerce has reacquired the SparkPay shopping cart.*
* **Correcting the naming on the Canvus Print Client Requirement fields** *Our bad – sorry about that!*
* **Support three-letter to two-letter country field conversions** *We now support three-letter to two-letter country field conversions (no more errors for entering USA instead of US – yay!)*
* **Adding another option for pulling item code/SKU from incoming orders for PayPal** *We’ll now look for the L\_NUMBERx field on incoming orders as an option for SKU.*
* **Support for import processing Gmail forwarding functionality** *If you would like to forward emails from Gmail to our data import service, we can now manually approve your forward requests. Just send them over!*
* **Support shipment checking for Prima Printing** *The original version of Prima Printing/Zen1to1 integration didn’t support shipping status pulls. This is now working properly.*
* **New Volusion Logo/Branding** *Volusion has a new logo. Check it out on the Fulfillment tab of your* [*integrations*](https://app.orderdesk.me/integrations) *page.*
* **More Colorado Timberline color support** *We’ve added several Colorado Timberline color codes. As always, if you find yourself needing any that we don’t support we’ll be happy to add them.*
* **Adding Yotpo option to avoid sending prices** *Don’t want to send prices to Yotpo? You can now uncheck the option on the Yotpo settings page.*
* **Remove invalid diacritics on Company Field for Amazon FBA** *Now having special characters in the company namé won’t stop an order from submitting to FBA.*
* **Allow proper set of manual shipping method via checkout data when sending to Gooten** *You can set checkout data of ShipMethod to 1 or 2 for Standard or Expedited.*
* **Advanced Search – now supports searching via tag** *Our Advanced Search feature (at the top of the page) now supports searching via tags.*
* **Limiting the amount of Shopify product data we pull** *Our Shopify integration received an update to limit the amount of product data pulled to allow for more reliable inventory number syncing.*
* **Remove legacy merchant token requirement for Amazon Marketplace** *Getting your Amazon Marketplace API credentials just got a little bit easier. We’ve removed the legacy merchant token requirement.*
* **Support REMOVE in item name for inventory items** *If you’d like to submit a spreadsheet full of SKU’s to delete from Order Desk, just set the item name to REMOVE and we’ll delete it for you.*
* **Fixing Volusion discounts** *Previously we’d been saving discounts as negative products. This has been fixed and we’ll now store Volusion products properly in the discount section rather than as a negative order item.*
* **Export Sequence Numbers Now Supported** *Want to have export1.csv, then export2.csv?* [*Now you can.*](http://help.orderdesk.me/article/19-building-export-templates#details)

Wow… that was kind of a lot, huh? **pats our developers on the back**

Thanks a million for sticking around ‘til the end. We’re really pumped for all of these new additions and are excited to start sharing our feature updates on a monthly basis. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to [reach out](mailto:support@orderdesk.me).

See you in February!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.orderdesk.com/release-notes/2022-and-older/2018.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
