# Starshipit Integration

Order Desk can download orders from your shopping carts and send them to [**Starshipit**](https://starshipit.com/) for fulfillment. After submission, you can also use the integration to request rates, then create and print labels directly from your orders in Order Desk.

As orders are fulfilled, tracking details will automatically flow back to Order Desk and update your carts.

### Setup

To connect to Starshipit, click on the **Manage Integrations** link in the left sidebar and under the **Shipping** tab find and enable the Starshipit integration:

Alternatively, search for *Starshipit* from the available integration search and click **Enable**:

Once enabled, enter your **Starshipit API Key** and **Subscription Key**, then click **Connect**:

Please note that Order Desk isn’t able to help find or reset your credentials, as they can only be provided by Starshipit.

### Settings

After you have connected the integration, you can apply any necessary details or preferences to the settings.

#### After Import, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after they are successfully sent to Starshipit.

You can use one of the default folders already in your store or create your own. Read the [**Working with Folders**](/start-here/getting-started-series/quick-start-overview.md#working-with-folders) guide for more information.

#### After Shipment, Move To

Select the folder orders should be moved to when Starshipit sends tracking details back to Order Desk about them.

#### Default Unit

Choose the unit of measurement for package dimensions and weights (options are LBS/IN or KG/CM)

#### Default Dimensions

Select the default dimensions for your packaging.

#### Print Preference

Choose whether you want labels to **Print Immediately** or **Not Print Automatically**. This is helpful if you want to create labels but delay printing them.

#### Default Shipper Information

Set your default return address in the **Default Shipper Information** section. This address will be used for all orders.

For more information on what these product settings in the Starshipit integration are for and how to use them, read the [**Fulfillment Integration Product Settings**](/integration-setup-guides/fulfillment-services/fulfillment-integration-product-settings.md) guide.

#### Starshipit Label Creator

A label creator will display beneath the product details on every order that has previously been submitted to Starshipit from Order Desk.

You can use this section to further adjust your package dimensions, fetch rates, and then purchase your intended labels:

#### Order Level Details

If you’re sending orders to Starshipit for fulfillment, the following fields can be added as checkout data or order metadata to be passed through to Starshipit on an order by order basis.

#### Starshipit Rules Reference

In addition to the [**general set of rule events and actions**](/resources/rules-reference-events-filters-and-actions.md) in Order Desk, Starshipit includes a number of rule events and actions that are specific to the integration. These aren’t found directly on the integration page. Instead, you’ll need to use the **Rule Builder** to access them.

If you’re new to using rules in Order Desk, we recommend starting with our [**How to Work With Rules**](/guided-walkthroughs/rules-and-automations/how-to-work-with-rules.md) guide.

#### Rule Events

To find Starshipit-specific rule events, type *starshipit* into the **Event** dropdown menu in the **Rule Builder**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.orderdesk.com/integration-setup-guides/shipping-services/starshipit-integration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
