# eFulfillment Service Integration

Order Desk can import orders from your shopping cart(s), apply custom information and then submit them to [eFulfillment Service](https://www.efulfillmentservice.com/) for fulfillment. When orders are shipped, the tracking details will be sent back to Order Desk and back to your shopping cart(s) if your store is set up for it.

This guide explains how to set up and use the eFulfillment Service integration.

### Setup

To connect to eFulfillment Service, click on the **Manage Integrations** link in the left sidebar and under the **Fulfillment** tab find and enable the eFulfillment Service integration.

<figure><img src="https://251457507-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAQOLMUJWMYtrpQ7Oxxca%2Fuploads%2FgST6gE9AUcMuYFb6NEns%2Fscreenshot%202026-09-15%20at%2014.49.19%402x.png?alt=media&amp;token=76691744-3d54-42a7-8658-d5e01868a014" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Log in to your eFulfillment Service account. In the **Client Info** > **My Settings** menu, you will find your **Merchant Token**, **Merchant ID** and **Merchant Name**.

Enter these details in Order Desk and click to connect.

### Integration Settings

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://251457507-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAQOLMUJWMYtrpQ7Oxxca%2Fuploads%2FxpYrQidSJJBdPWmliFqP%2Fscreenshot%202026-09-15%20at%2014.53.44%402x.png?alt=media&amp;token=c3e16ae9-098e-4f49-b4d4-b0900a4a9cab" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

After you have connected the integration, you can apply any necessary details or preferences to the settings.

#### Submission Mode

While you are still testing, keep this set to **Test**. When you are ready to begin sending real orders to eFulfillment Service, switch this to **Live**.

#### Default Mail Classes

Choose the shipping classes you want eFulfillment Service to use for your orders.

If you need to apply specific methods for certain orders, match your method names to the names eFulfillment Service uses in the [Shipping Class Match section](#shipping-class-match) below.

#### After Import, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after they are successfully sent to eFulfillment Service.

You can use one of the default folders already in your store or create your own. Read the [Working with Folders](/start-here/getting-started-series/quick-start-overview.md#working-with-folders) guide for more information.

#### After Shipment, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into as eFulfillment Service sends shipment details back to Order Desk.

{% hint style="info" icon="lightbulb" %}

#### Shipment Checks

Order Desk checks eFulfillment Service for shipments every eight hours. If a shipment is found it will be added on the order.

You can also click the **Check eFulfillment Service For Shipment** button on an order to manually look for shipments before the scheduled check runs.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://251457507-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAQOLMUJWMYtrpQ7Oxxca%2Fuploads%2FsOeEEyQEgNm1bI5OaulK%2Fscreenshot%202026-09-15%20at%2016.15.46%402x.png?alt=media&amp;token=7e16521c-712a-450d-ac35-8faa855642d9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Automatically Send Imported Orders To eFulfillment Service

If selected, every order that is added to Order Desk will automatically be sent to eFulfillment Service.

Select this setting only if all orders will be sent to eFulfillment Service. If any orders will not be sent, or if you need a delay between when an order is imported into Order Desk and when it is sent to eFulfillment Service do *not* select this.

#### Request Signature Confirmation

If selected, Order Desk will request that eFulfillment Service adds a signature confirmation to all your shipments.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you only want to request signature confirmation for certain orders, you can leave the option disabled and set it up on a per order level instead. See the [custom details](#custom-details-for-efulfillment-service) section for more info.
{% endhint %}

### Packing Slips and Notifications

You can use these settings to set up optional marketing options for your eFulfillment service orders.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="https://251457507-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAQOLMUJWMYtrpQ7Oxxca%2Fuploads%2FKTbRLHm79ltk5gA1YTm7%2Fscreenshot%202026-09-15%20at%2014.57.54%402x.png?alt=media&amp;token=c76f5850-b9af-4613-b063-9fe3c29f2a66" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

#### Company Name

Set this if you want to override your account name with a specific company name on all your packing slips.

#### Company Email

Set your preferred company email here. eFulfillment Service will use this for all your shipment confirmation emails.

### Inventory Management Settings

#### Sync Inventory

Enable if you want your inventory stock counts to be pulled in from eFulfillment Service.

For more information, see the [How to Work with Inventory Counts](/guided-walkthroughs/products-and-inventory/how-to-work-with-inventory-quantities.md#send-counts-tofrom-order-desk) guide.

#### Sync Update Interval

If Sync Inventory is enabled, choose how often you want Order Desk to check eFulfillment Service for inventory updates.

#### Inventory Location Name

If you want to set a specific inventory location name for the products you have at eFulfillment Service, set that name here. As eFulfillment Service sends back reports, your custom name will be added as the location.

#### Product Settings

For more information on what these product settings in the eFulfillment Service integration are for and how to use them, read the [Fulfillment Integration Product Settings](/integration-setup-guides/fulfillment-services/fulfillment-integration-product-settings.md) guide.

<figure><img src="https://251457507-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAQOLMUJWMYtrpQ7Oxxca%2Fuploads%2FqWj3M5NLCcFrlhLEZoUH%2Fscreenshot%202026-09-15%20at%2015.32.06%402x.png?alt=media&amp;token=4c6a762b-1f88-4e21-a16d-516144c407ca" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Shipping Class Match

<figure><img src="https://251457507-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FAQOLMUJWMYtrpQ7Oxxca%2Fuploads%2Fu4knmzhMxaH88gggdkRz%2Fscreenshot%202026-09-15%20at%2015.33.17%402x.png?alt=media&amp;token=cf5a4155-59ea-49d1-982d-4c6ae46ddcf8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If the shipping methods you set up in your shopping cart(s) don’t match the shipping method names eFulfillment Service uses, they won’t know what methods you intend for them to use. When this happens, the [default mail classes applied above](#integration-settings) will be used instead for all of your orders.

To tell eFulfillment Service what methods you want them to use, you will need to match your method names to theirs. This can be done in the shipping class match section. For detailed instructions on setting this up, please read through the [shipping class match](/guided-walkthroughs/shipping-fulfillment-and-returns/how-to-set-up-shipping-class-matches.md) guide.

#### Custom Details for eFulfillment Service

The following fields can be added to an order as checkout data or order metadata to send additional information to EFS.

If you aren't familiar with checkout data, [check out our guide here](https://help.orderdesk.com/guided-walkthroughs/orders-and-folders/how-to-work-with-checkout-data).

| hold\_release\_date | Places a client hold on the order until the specified date. It accepts relative values such as `+24 hours` or `+3 days`, or a specific date such as `2025-12-31 14:00`. |
| hold\_comments | The reason for the hold. This is only sent when `hold_release_date` is set. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.orderdesk.com/integration-setup-guides/fulfillment-services/efulfillment-service-integration.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
