Manually Import Orders


Jet provides a read-only partner interface, which requires merchants to use their API to manage their products and orders. With the Jet integration in Order Desk, you can more easily manage your Jet account.

This guide explains how to set up and use the Jet integration in Order Desk.


In Order Desk, click on Manage Integrations under the Integrations menu in the left sidebar. Under the Shopping Carts tab, find and enable Jet.

Once enabled:

  1. In the Jet partner admin, ensure that you are in test mode.
  2. Click API in the sidebar, then click the Get API Keys button in the upper right corner.
  3. Back in Order Desk, paste your API User, Secret and Merchant ID then click to connect to Jet.


Before the integration will work, you will need to complete some tests with Jet to confirm the API connection through Order Desk is working. This test requires you to create a product, add an order and process a return.

Follow these steps to run your tests.

1. Create Jet Product

Once you have made the test connection to Jet, you will be using the Custom Tools in Order Desk to start your test.

Click on Jet Products in the left sidebar and add a new product with the following details:

Remember the SKU you use because you will need it in the next step and a later test.

2. Create Order Desk Inventory Item

Once your product has been created, click on Inventory Items in the left sidebar and then click Add New Item.

You will need to add the SKU to Order Desk for the product you just created in Jet. Include a price and stock value, as both will be passed to Jet:

3. Run Inventory Sync Appointment

After you have created your inventory item in Order Desk, click on View Appointments in the left sidebar.

Find the Sync Inventory Items to Jet appointment and click Run.

This completes the product test.

4. Generate Orders in Jet

Head back into Jet. In the API tab, click the Order Generator link.

Enter the same SKU you used for your test product and generate at least two test orders.

5. Import Orders into Order Desk

Go back to Order Desk and click the Jet under Manage integrations in the left sidebar.

In the Manually Import Orders section, choose the Ready status and click to import your orders.

This downloads your test orders and sends an acknowledge back to Jet.

Open up one of these orders in Order Desk and press the Cancel Order at Jet button.

Once you cancel the first order, open the second order in Order Desk and enter a fake tracking number. You may need to enter a ship date of tomorrow. To do so, click Add More Fields to Shipment.

This completes the order test.

6. Generate a Return

The last test is for returns. Head back into Jet one more time and click on the API tab, then Return Generator.

You will be shown a dropdown list of Jet Order IDs. These IDs are long-form and not the same as the order numbers you'll see in Order Desk, however you can find the ID in the order metadata back in Order Desk, down at the bottom of the order page.

Go into the order with the fake shipment and find the Jet Order ID. Generate a return for this order in Jet.

Back in Order Desk, click on Jet Returns in the left sidebar. Click on the pending return for this order and press the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

7. Reconnect with Live Credentials

With all tests completed, you can now generate your live credentials in Jet.

Head back into the Jet integration page in Order Desk one last time and click on the Disconnect button to remove your test credentials from the integration.

Connect the integration again using your live Jet credentials.

Integration Settings

Set your preferences in the Jet settings.

Check for New Orders

Select how often you want orders to be downloaded.

Fulfillment Node

Select the Fulfillment Node from which Order Desk should download.

Folder for New Orders

Select the folder where newly imported orders from Jet should be placed.

If Canceled, Move To

Select the folder where orders should be moved if they are canceled at Jet.

Sync Inventory

Enable if you want Order Desk to sync your inventory counts back to Jet.

Order Prefix

If you need to, you can add a prefix of your choice that will be added to all orders downloaded from Jet.

Manually Import Orders

Order Desk can download orders manually if you click this import button.

Select which orders to download from the dropdown. Any orders that have not been approved yet will be downloaded.
