Sending Orders to Catalyst Fabric Solutions


Order Desk can submit your print on demand orders to Catalyst Fabric Solutions. Order Desk can also receive shipment notices from Catalyst Fabric Solutions, then automatically import your tracking details when an order is shipped.


To connect to your Catalyst Fabric Solutions account, click on Manage Integrations in the left sidebar. Under the Print on Demand tab, look for and enable the Catalyst Fabric Solutions integration.

Once enabled, enter your assigned Client ID and Password as well as your company's address information for billing purposes. These details are submitted with each order.

If you will be using Endicia shipping options, please refer to the Endicia setup instructions from Catalyst Fabric Solutions. You will need to enter the appropriate credentials in your Catalyst Fabric Solutions CSR panel directly.

Integration Settings

To find your Catalyst Fabric Solutions credentials, please contact your rep from Catalyst Fabric Solutions. Order Desk support is not able to help with finding or resetting your Catalyst Fabric Solutions credentials, as they are created and provided by Catalyst Fabric Solutions.

Mail Classes

Domestic Mail Class | International Mail Class

Select your preferred domestic and international mail classes. The shipping methods selected will be used for all orders sent to Catalyst Fabric Solutions unless, where different, the shipping method on the order matches the Catalyst Fabric Solutions method name exactly.

If you need Catalyst Fabric Solutions to use a specific shipping method on and order by order basis rather than defaulting to the settings here, set your preferences in the Shipping Class Match section.

Shipping Account #

Add the shipping account you want Catalyst Fabric Solutions to use.

After Import, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into after they are successfully sent to Catalyst Fabric Solutions.

You can use one of the default folders already in your store or create your own. Read the Working with Folders guide for more information.

After Shipment, Move To

Select the folder you want orders to be moved into as Catalyst Fabric Solutions sends shipment details back to Order Desk.

Allow Alternate PO Number Order ID

Enable this setting if you want to send specific PO numbers to Catalyst Fabric Solutions to be used for your orders. To apply your own PO number, you will have to add POnumber as checkout data on the order with the number as the value. Details  below.

If disabled, Catalyst Fabric Solutions will use the order number as the PO number.

Billing Information

If you need to change the billing information you entered when enabling the integration, you can do so here.

Shipping Class Match

If the shipping methods you set up in your shopping cart(s) don't match the shipping method names Catalyst Fabric Solutions uses, they won't know what methods you intend for them to use. When this happens, the default mail classes applied above will be used instead for all of your orders.

To tell Catalyst Fabric Solutions what methods you want them to use, you will need to match your method names to theirs. This can be done in the shipping class match section. For detailed instructions on setting this up, please read through the shipping class match guide.

Sending Orders to Catalyst Fabric Solutions

Getting your orders ready to send to Catalyst Fabric Solutions will take some set up time. For a detailed walkthrough of how to use Order Desk with your Print on Demand orders, please read through our Print on Demand Fulfillment guide.

Custom Details

If you would like to send custom data about the order to Catalyst Fabric Solutions, you can set the following checkout data fields:

Field Name Field Description
PackingSlip A PDF URL to be printed and included with the shipment. Details here.
ShippingLabel A PDF URL for the shipping label to be used for the shipment.
Reference Text describing what the order is in reference to.
Shipping Account #
Add your own PO number to an order.  Allow Alternate PO Number Order ID must be enabled.
OrderType Drop Ship or Freight. Default: Drop Ship. If sending freight, you must communicate this beforehand.

You can also send the following data about an individual item. The data can be set as a variation or as an item metadata field (variations take precedence).

print_url The url of the design to be printed
print_sku The Catalyst product code
print_upc Optional product UPC code

The following fields can be sent for Fabric By the Yard products:

Field Name Field Description
PrintWidth The physical print width being requested, in inches.
PrintHeight The length of the fabric being requested, in inches.
ImagePrintWidth The print width of the image, in inches.
ImagePrintHeight The print width of the image, in inches.
ImageDropDirection The drop direction for the pattern. Valid values are: H for horizontal or V for vertical.
ImageDropDistance The drop distance. The drop distance is specified as a decimal value between 0 and 1 which represents a percentage of the image size.
Repeats The number of repeating patterns for the item.
